Gaya. To reduce heavy traffic congestion in the city, Gaya District Magistrate Shashank Shubhankar has directed officials to complete land acquisition and building assessments within two days for three major flyover projects. Preliminary land acquisition notices have already been issued, and dedicated valuation teams have been deployed to ensure quick compensation payments and smooth progress of construction.

These projects are aimed at easing traffic at major congestion points across the district. The Bageshwari flyover will reduce traffic near Gaya Railway Station for commuters traveling from Patna, Jehanabad, and Arwal. The Manpur flyover will improve traffic flow for tourists traveling between Rajgir, Nalanda, and Bodh Gaya’s Mahabodhi Temple. Meanwhile, the Ghughritand flyover will help manage heavy pilgrim traffic near Vishnupad Temple during the peak Pitripaksh Mela.
