Patna: The Bihar government has invited applications under its Sugarcane Nursery Scheme for the 2026–27 financial year, aiming to promote the cultivation of high-quality sugarcane varieties and enhance farmers’ productivity. Under the scheme, eligible farmers can avail of a subsidy of up to 75% for establishing sugarcane nurseries.
The initiative is part of the state’s efforts to improve sugarcane production, ensure the availability of quality planting material, and strengthen the agricultural sector. Interested farmers can submit their applications through the Agriculture Department’s designated portal or offices. The last date to apply for the scheme is 23 July 2026.
