Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary inaugurated a newly built 100-bed model hospital and a district drug warehouse at Guru Gobind Singh Hospital in Patna City. During his visit, he reviewed patient services and directed medical staff to provide timely treatment. He also asked doctors to strengthen orthopaedics as a key specialty. He said improving local healthcare facilities is important to reduce the need for patients to be referred to other hospitals.

Along with these local developments, Choudhary also launched major health infrastructure across Bihar. This includes 105 ICU beds, 70 Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) beds, and 24×7 emergency services in district hospitals across the state.

To improve access to diagnostic services, the government launched Phase 1 of a public-private pathology network. The network includes 11 central hub laboratories and 221 collection centres, providing fast and free test reports. In addition, free dialysis services have been introduced in 25 sub-divisional hospitals for priority cardholders, bringing modern and essential healthcare closer to people across Bihar.
