    Nabinagar (Aurangabad) The ‘Girl Empowerment Campaign’ is a meaningful endeavor aimed at making girls self-reliant by equipping them with education, life skills, and leadership capabilities. These remarks were made by the Chief Guest, Prabodh Chandra—Inspector General (IG) of the CISF Eastern Sector who was present at the event. He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of the ‘Girl Empowerment Campaign 2026’ held on Tuesday night at the Bal Bhawan grounds of NTPC Nabinagar.

    Mr. Chandra stated that the objective of this program is to provide a platform to talented girls from rural and backward regions, enabling them to access the necessary guidance and resources to realize their dreams. This initiative is not merely a step towards individual development; it also stands as a testament to the company’s commitment toward fostering an inclusive and equitable society.

    The program was jointly inaugurated by CISF Eastern Sector IG Prabodh Chandra, RED (ER-1) L.K. Behera, and Aarti Behera—President of the ‘Swara Ladies Club’ among others.

    On this occasion, RED (ER-1) L.K. Behera delivered the welcome address, highlighting the pivotal role being played by NTPC Nabinagar in the ‘Girl Empowerment Campaign.’ He also presented a detailed outline of the training program, which is scheduled to run for the upcoming month. He announced that 61 girls have been selected to participate in the campaign this year.

    Mr. Behera noted that, with a view to ensuring the holistic development of the girls, the campaign incorporates various components such as regular training sessions, workshops, mentorship programs, and academic support. Throughout the program, the faces of the registered girls radiated enthusiasm and self-confidence. They not only felt a sense of pride in being a part of this campaign but also viewed this opportunity as a fresh beginning toward realizing their future aspirations. This initiative has the potential to serve as an inspiring example in bringing about positive changes in the lives of many young girls in the times to come.

    During the program, girls participating in the ‘Balika Sashaktikaran Abhiyan 2026′ (Girls’ Empowerment Campaign) delivered captivating cultural performances and shared their personal experiences. Additionally, performances by members of the Swara Ladies Club and children from Bal Bhawan won the hearts of the entire audience.

    Present on the occasion were GM (Projects) Rakesh Kumar Sharma, GM (Maintenance) Manoranjan Panigrahi, AGM (HR) Omkar Nath, DC (CISF) Rafaqat Khan, PRO Atul Nath Jha, among others.
