Aurangabad. Under the able leadership of the District Magistrate of Aurangabad, Smt. Abhilasha Sharma, nutrition kits were distributed across all blocks of the district to provide better nutrition to TB patients as part of the Pradhan Mantri TB-Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan. Under this campaign, 20 nutrition kits were distributed to TB patients in each block.
It was highlighted on this occasion that, alongside medical treatment, a balanced and nutritious diet plays a crucial role in the speedy recovery of patients. To this end, the distributed nutrition kits contain protein-rich soya chunks, peanuts, flour, and edible oil, ensuring patients receive essential nutrition during their treatment period.
The district administration stated that the objective of the Pradhan Mantri TB-Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan is to realize the national resolve of making India TB-free. Special emphasis is being placed on the timely identification of patients, regular treatment, nutritional support and public participation to achieve this goal.
The Health Department has appealed to the general public that if any individual exhibits symptoms such as a persistent cough lasting more than two weeks, fever, weight loss or excessive night sweats, they should visit the nearest health center for a free TB test. Complete cure of TB is possible through timely testing and treatment.
The district administration has instructed all concerned officials and health workers to implement the campaign effectively and ensure that nutritional support reaches the maximum number of TB patients.
