Patratu (Ramgarh). Renu Sehgal, President of the Swarnrekha Mahila Samiti, formally inaugurated the ‘Pragati 2.0 Tailoring Center’ on Monday at the shopping complex within the PVUNL Patratu Township. The initiative aims to make women from nearby villages self-reliant and economically empowered by equipping them with vocational skills.
Under this ambitious initiative, selected women from Hanumangarhi, Shah Colony and Katiya villages will receive regular training in tailoring and embroidery. The training will be conducted six days a week, enabling women to master modern techniques and access opportunities for both self-employment and wage employment.
Speaking on the occasion, President Renu Sehgal stated that women’s empowerment is not limited to education alone, true empowerment is achieved through skill development and economic self-reliance.
She expressed confidence that the ‘Pragati 2.0 Tailoring Center’ would prove to be an effective platform for bringing positive change to women’s lives and fostering self-reliance.
A large number of people—including members of the Swarnrekha Mahila Samiti, PVUNL officials and employees and villagers from the surrounding areas—attended the inauguration ceremony. Those present praised the initiative, describing it as a commendable effort towards women’s empowerment and rural development.
