Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), Eastern Region-I Headquarters, has provided 1 Stretcher and 2 Wheelchairs at Patliputra Junction to facilitate convenient travel for differently-abled and senior citizen passengers. This initiative is a significant step towards ensuring comfortable, safe, and dignified travel for passengers.
POWERGRID, a leading public sector enterprise in the field of power transmission in the country, remains fully committed not only to its core business but also to upholding social values and responsibilities. On this occasion, Shri Rajat Prasad, Senior General Manager (HR) of PowerGrid, Shri Mithilesh Sharan, Station Manager of Patliputra Junction and senior officials from PowerGrid and Indian Railways were present.
With the availability of these wheelchairs and stretcher, thousands of differently-abled and senior citizen passengers travelling daily through Patliputra Junction will be benefited, as it will ease their movement on platforms and assist them while boarding and deboarding trains.
This initiative by POWERGRID reflects its sensitivity towards the weaker sections of society and its strong commitment to inclusive development.
