New Delhi/Patna. The four-day global textile event, Bharat Tex 2026l, concluded on Friday at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and Minister for Industries Ms. Shreyasi Singh and the guidance of Kundan Kumar, Secretary, Department of Industries, the Government of Bihar showcased the state as an emerging global destination for textile and apparel investments. The Bihar Pavilion emerged as one of the key attractions for investors throughout the event.
Under the theme “Investment Opportunities in the Textile Sector in Bihar,” the pavilion prominently showcased the state’s progressive industrial policies, robust infrastructure and investor-friendly ecosystem.
High-level Business-to-Government (B2G) meetings held at the pavilion’s Business Lounge provided investors with detailed insights into the financial incentives available under the Textile and Leather Policy (Amended) 2025. The strong interest generated by the policy was evident as several leading entrepreneurs expressed their intent to establish manufacturing units in Bihar.

The Bihar Pavilion, inaugurated by Union Minister of Textiles Giriraj Singh and Minister for Industries Ms. Shreyasi Singh, presented a compelling blend of tradition and modernity. While the state’s rich heritage of GI-tagged products such as Bhagalpuri Silk, Madhubani Paintings, Sujni embroidery and Khatwa work captivated international buyers, Bihar’s rapid strides in the modern garmenting sector impressed prospective investors and industry leaders alike.
Under the guidance of Kundan Kumar, Secretary, Department of Industries, the departmental team engaged continuously with global buyers and investors throughout the event. The Government of Bihar’s vision extends beyond attracting manufacturing units; it aims to create large-scale employment opportunities for the state’s youth and women artisans while accelerating inclusive economic growth.
The overwhelming response received by the Bihar Pavilion at Bharat Tex 2026 reinforces the state’s growing stature as one of India’s most promising and profitable destinations for textile and apparel investments, firmly positioning Bihar to emerge as a leading textile hub in the country.
