Gayaji. Bihar Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr. Prem Kumar inaugurated various development schemes under the ‘Chief Minister’s Urban Comprehensive Development Scheme’ in the Gayaji Town Assembly constituency, gifting infrastructure facilities worth crores of rupees to the local residents. Speaking on the occasion, he stated that the state government’s objective is to improve the citizens’ standard of living by providing quality roads, drains, parks and other basic amenities in every ward of the city.
Dr. Prem Kumar inaugurated road and drain construction projects in Ward Nos. 03 and 17 specifically from the Sima Honda Agency to Kauwa Sthan, in the Gosain Bagh neighborhood of Ward No. 17 and from Sunil Chhabra’s house to the Gurudwara Punjabi Dharamshala. The total sanctioned cost for these projects is ₹1,21,35,546.
Additionally, he inaugurated a road and drain construction project at Ramchandra Dharamshala in Ward No. 17, costing approximately ₹39.90 lakh. A park built near Rukmani Pond in Ward No. 44 at a cost of ₹44.34 lakh was also dedicated to the public, providing local residents with a clean and pleasant public space.
The Assembly Speaker inaugurated a drain construction project costing ₹10.57 lakh near Krishna ITI in Narayangarh (Ward No. 30). Furthermore, he inaugurated a road built at a cost of ₹24.10 lakh stretching from Gol Bigha Police Line to Hanuman Dhara in Ward No. 34.
In the same series of events, road and drain construction projects were inaugurated in Kaler Yadunandan Singh Colony (Ward No. 29) at a cost of ₹36.61 lakh, and in Sainik Colony Road No. 02 at a cost of ₹25.37 lakh.
On this occasion, Dr. Prem Kumar stated that strengthening infrastructure is his top priority.He emphasized that there would be no compromise on the quality of development works and that officials concerned have been instructed to complete all projects within the stipulated timeframes. He also appealed to local residents to cooperate with the administration in safeguarding public assets and maintaining cleanliness.
Those present at the site included Suraj Rana, Bunty Verma, Dharmendra Kumar, Manoj Paswan, Dhirendra Kumar, Pradeep Kumar, Billu Kumar, Gautam and Pappu Ji.
