Mumbai. Hollywood star Tom Holland, legendary director Christopher Nolan, and actor Matt Damon surprised fans with a special appearance at an IMAX screening of their epic action drama The Odyssey in Mumbai on July 10, 2026.

The three took the stage at PVR ICON IMAX and received a loud standing ovation from the audience. Happy with the warm welcome, Tom Holland greeted everyone with a namaste and said that no audience in the world brings as much energy and excitement to a movie theatre as Indian fans. Matt Damon said that the Mumbai screening was the first time they had shown the film to a live public audience. Christopher Nolan praised Indian moviegoers, calling them among the most cinema-literate, passionate, and knowledgeable audiences in the world.

The Odyssey is set for a worldwide theatrical release on July 17, 2026. Based on Homer’s classic myth, it is the first feature film shot entirely using next-generation IMAX cameras. Tom Holland plays Telemachus, the son of Matt Damon’s Odysseus, alongside a large cast that includes Zendaya and Anne Hathaway.
