New Delhi. At Jantar Mantar, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal met activist Sonam Wangchuk, who is on a hunger strike against national examination paper leaks. Kejriwal urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to remove the current Union Education Minister and appoint Wangchuk instead, saying he could bring “revolutionary” reforms to India’s education system.

Referring to Anna Hazare’s 2011 anti-corruption movement at the same venue, Kejriwal said the central government would face serious political consequences if it ignored the demands of the youth. He also said that the AAP would strongly raise the students’ issues during the upcoming Monsoon Session of Parliament and called on citizens to join the proposed march to Parliament on July 20.
