Patna. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president Lalu Prasad Yadav was taken to the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) in Patna after experiencing fluctuations in his blood pressure. Following medical examination and initial treatment, doctors said his condition had stabilized and discharged him with advice for further evaluation at AIIMS, New Delhi.
RJD MP and his daughter, Misa Bharti, confirmed that the 78-year-old leader is stable and under medical observation. She said doctors have advised him to travel to AIIMS Delhi, where he regularly undergoes specialised treatment, for a comprehensive health check-up. Along with blood pressure fluctuations, he has also been experiencing eye-related discomfort, which will be assessed by specialists.
Lalu Prasad, who underwent a kidney transplant in Singapore in 2022, has been under continuous medical supervision for multiple age-related health issues. His latest visit to AIIMS is part of his ongoing treatment and routine monitoring, family members said, while assuring supporters that there is no immediate cause for concern.
