Devkund (Aurangabad). In anticipation of the arrival of a large number of devotees at Devkund in Goh Block during the upcoming month of Shravan, the District Magistrate of Aurangabad, Smt. Abhilasha Sharma, conducted an on-site inspection of the Devkund area and undertook a detailed review of the fair’s preparations.
During the inspection, the District Magistrate issued clear instructions to complete all necessary preparations well in advance to ensure that devotees visiting the Shravani Mela face no inconvenience. She directed officials to arrange for adequate and robust barricading to facilitate the smooth and safe movement of devotees and to clearly demarcate entry and exit routes for effective crowd management. Instructions were also issued to designate specific parking areas.
Keeping in mind the safety and convenience of devotees during the night, the District Magistrate directed that adequate lighting arrangements be ensured across the entire fair premises and along major approach roads. She stated that police officers and magistrates would be deployed as required to maintain law and order and ensure a swift response to any emergency situation.
Instructing all concerned departments to work in coordination, the District Magistrate emphasized that law and order, crowd control, traffic management and the safety of devotees would be the top priorities during the Shravani Mela. During the inspection, Daudnagar Sub-Divisional Officer Mr. Amit Rajan, Goh BDO, officials from concerned departments and local administration officials were present.
