Aurangabad. A review meeting regarding the Pradhan Mantri TB-Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan was held via video conferencing under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary of Bihar. Achieving another remarkable milestone under this campaign, Aurangabad district secured the first position across Bihar in Differential TB Patient Assessment and LFT-KFT testing.
The district’s outstanding performance was specifically commended during the review. Praising the effective implementation and patient-centric health services aligned with the set targets, the Chief Secretary described this excellent work as a model for other districts to emulate.
Under the Differential TB Patient Assessment initiative, the district successfully assessed 134 out of 138 cases, achieving a success rate of 97 percent. This performance was the best in the state.
Additionally, Aurangabad secured the top spot in Bihar for conducting LFT (Liver Function Test) and KFT (Kidney Function Test) for TB patients. This achievement demonstrates that, alongside TB treatment, the district is ensuring regular monitoring of patients’ overall health status and providing quality medical management.
The TB eradication program is being effectively implemented in the district through the continuous guidance of the District Magistrate and the coordinated efforts of Health Department officials, doctors, lab technicians, ASHA workers and other healthcare personnel.
The district administration has expressed confidence that, driven by this same commitment and public participation, Aurangabad district will continue to play a leading role in achieving the goal of a TB-free India.
