Patna. The five-day Monsoon Session of the Bihar Legislature concluded on Friday after discussions on key legislative and financial matters, alongside repeated confrontations between the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the Opposition.
During the session, the Bihar Legislative Assembly passed the first supplementary budget for the financial year 2026–27, with the government stating that the additional allocation was aimed at meeting developmental and administrative expenditure. The Opposition, however, questioned the government’s fiscal management and raised concerns over the size of the supplementary grant.
The session also witnessed frequent disruptions and heated debates over issues including law and order, education, recruitment examinations, and student protests, leading to adjournments on some occasions. Despite the disruptions, the House completed scheduled legislative business before the session concluded on July 24.
