Patna. Prof. Ranbir Nandan, Chairman of the Bihar State Religious Trust Board and former MLC, stated that Patna has been a BJP stronghold and will remain so; BJP candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha is set to win the Bankipur by-election by a record margin. Prof. Nandan was addressing a public meeting at Narayan Utsav Hall in Jayaprakash Nagar (Ward No. 17) of the Bankipur assembly constituency. He recalled that after Indira Gandhi’s assassination in 1984, the BJP had secured only two seats nationwide, whereas today, the party holds power in the majority of Indian states an achievement credited to the party’s dedicated and invaluable workers. He urged NDA workers to motivate ten people daily to vote, aiming to set a new record in this election. Prof. Nandan remarked that under the NDA government, the fear associated with the “15 years of terror” has vanished from people’s minds, and the state is witnessing rapid development. The Chief Minister’s Bicycle Scheme has sparked a revolution in girls’ education in Bihar; while previously only 1 to 1.5 lakh girls were enrolled in Class 9 across the state, that figure has now surpassed 13 lakhs. The event was presided over by JD(U) Sector President Pramendra Kumar Singh, conducted by former Ward Councilor Mukesh Kumar, and the vote of thanks was proposed by senior BJP leader Ajay Singh. A large number of NDA workers, including BJP leaders Sanjay Sahay, Himanshu Chaturvedi, Akhilanand Pandey, Rajesh Kumar, Vishal Verma, and Vijay Srivastava were present at the event.
