Aurangabad. A review meeting for the HIV/AIDS control program was held via video conferencing by the Project Director of the Bihar State AIDS Control Society, Patna. Attendees from Aurangabad district included Deputy Development Commissioner Kumari Anupam Singh, District AIDS Control Officer Dr. Raviranjan and ART Centre Data Manager Om Prakash Singh.
During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted to ensure 100% achievement of the ‘First 95, Second 95 and Third 95’ targets set under the National AIDS Control Programme.
The Project Director instructed that regular day and night health camps be organized in identified high-risk groups and vulnerable areas to maximize the identification of individuals affected by HIV infection.
Additionally, directives were issued to ensure timely treatment for identified HIV-infected individuals, link them to Antiretroviral Therapy (ART), maintain treatment continuity and launch special campaigns to prevent the transmission of HIV from pregnant women to their infants (Prevention of Parent-to-Child Transmission).
It was further directed that, to achieve the set targets, coordination should be established with various collaborating agencies and development partners to enhance the effectiveness of activities related to awareness, testing, counseling and treatment, thereby successfully realizing the objective of preventing and controlling HIV infection in the district.
