New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a grand ceremonial welcome from Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto in Jakarta, marking the start of his strategic three-nation diplomatic tour. A key focus of the high-level state visit is advancing India’s MAHASAGAR vision, which aims to promote shared maritime security, growth, and sustainable connectivity across the Indo-Pacific region.
The bilateral talks are mainly focused on expanding defense cooperation and building strong critical mineral supply chains by making use of Indonesia’s vast nickel reserves. To honor the deep and long-standing civilizational ties between the two countries, PM Modi will also visit the historic Prambanan Temple complex before leaving for Australia.
