Ranchi. Monsoon activity intensified across Jharkhand on Friday, bringing heavy rainfall and gusty winds to several districts, including Ranchi, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Hazaribagh and Ramgarh. The showers disrupted normal life in many areas, with reports of waterlogging and traffic slowdowns.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a statewide alert, warning of continued heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and lightning over the next 24 hours. Residents, particularly those in low-lying and vulnerable areas, have been advised to remain cautious and avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather conditions.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and have urged district administrations to stay prepared for any weather-related emergencies as the active monsoon spell continues across the state.
