Gayaji. On Wednesday, the Konch block received a significant gift in the realm of higher education. Assembly Speaker Dr. Prem Kumar inaugurated the Government Degree College ,a constituent unit of Magadh University, Bodh Gaya by cutting the ribbon. The event was presided over by Principal Dr. Sunil Kumar, while Block Education Officer Abhay Kumar Raman conducted the proceedings. The program began with a welcome song performed by female students and the National Song. Following the inauguration, Dr. Prem Kumar stated that strengthening education is a priority for the government. With the opening of the degree college in Konch, students from the area will no longer need to travel far for higher education. He noted that education and infrastructure are being expanded across the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. Former Minister and former Tikari MLA Dr. Anil Kumar remarked that this had been a long-standing demand of the residents of Konch. He added that the college would prove beneficial not only for the youth of Konch but also for those from neighbouring areas. Dignitaries present on the occasion included ADM Chandrashekhar Kumar, SDO Praveen Kundan, Block Pramukh Mani Devi, BDO Chandan Kumar, CO Ritu Soni, JD(U) District President Er. Ajay Kushwaha, JD(U) Block President Harendra Dangi, Arvind Verma, and Kundal Verma. Everyone expressed their gratitude to the government for establishing the college.
