Ranchi. The Election Commission will conduct a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in urban areas of Jharkhand as part of efforts to ensure eligible citizens are enrolled ahead of upcoming elections.
Under the drive, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will be stationed at designated polling stations on July 18 and July 20 to assist residents with voter registration, corrections in electoral details, deletion of duplicate entries, and other roll-related services. The initiative is aimed at improving the accuracy and inclusiveness of the electoral rolls.
The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Jharkhand, has urged first-time voters, those who have recently shifted residence, and citizens requiring corrections in their voter details to visit their respective polling stations on the designated dates and complete the necessary formalities.
Election officials said the campaign is part of the Commission’s ongoing efforts to maintain updated and error-free electoral rolls, ensuring that all eligible voters are able to exercise their franchise in future elections.
