Patna. Patna’s ISKCON temple successfully concluded its grand Jagannath Rath Yatra on July 16, with more than 2 lakh devotees taking part in the celebration. The procession featured a 40-foot hydraulic chariot decorated with flowers brought from Bengaluru, Kolkata, and abroad. The chariot carried the deities from Budh Marg through major parts of the city, including Dak Bungalow Chauraha and Maurya Lok.
Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary flagged off the procession and performed the traditional Chhera Panhara ritual by sweeping the path before pulling the ropes. The journey was marked by deep devotion and special food offerings, including a grand 108-dish “Crane Bhog” at Dak Bungalow Chauraha and a traditional chhappan bhog near the High Court. The celebration concluded at the temple with a large evening feast, where Mahaprasad was served to more than 20,000 people.
