Bihar Strengthens Rural Livelihoods with 2,446 New JEEViKA Appointments

Patna. At Patna’s Urja Auditorium, Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary handed appointment letters to 2,446 candidates recruited by the Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (JEEViKA). The selected candidates will work in seven important administrative and technical posts, including Area Coordinators, Block Project Managers, Accountants, and Livelihood Specialists.

Highlighting JEEViKA’s achievements, the Chief Minister said the program supports more than 1.81 crore women through 10.49 lakh Self-Help Groups (SHGs). It has contributed nearly ₹1.36 lakh crore to the economy and helped create over 30 lakh Lakhpati Didis.

The event also highlighted several welfare schemes, including increasing the social security pension to ₹1,100 per month, providing 125 units of free electricity to 1.70 crore households, and giving ₹10,000 in direct financial assistance to SHG members under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana to encourage rural entrepreneurship.
