Patna: Bihar Health Minister Nishant Kumar has announced that CCTV cameras will be installed in all government hospitals and healthcare institutions across the state to improve transparency and accountability. The cameras will be monitored through a central control room to ensure the timely attendance of doctors and healthcare staff and to oversee hospital operations.
He said the availability and distribution of medicines will also be regularly monitored, with strict action to be taken against officials found negligent in supply or hospital management.
To strengthen emergency healthcare services, the state will deploy 100 new ambulances on national and state highways, ensuring faster medical assistance for road accident victims during the critical “golden hour.”
The minister said the initiatives are part of the government’s efforts to modernize Bihar’s healthcare system and provide better, more efficient services to patients.
