Patna. During his visit to Jammu and Kashmir, the Speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, Dr. Prem Kumar, visited major historical and tourist sites in Srinagar along with his family. On this occasion, he visited Srinagar’s historic Lal Chowk and familiarized himself with its social, cultural and historical significance.
The Speaker enjoyed a boat ride on a traditional Shikara in the world-famous Dal Lake. He remarked that the natural beauty and serene atmosphere of Dal Lake along with Kashmir’s rich cultural heritage, attract tourists from both within the country and abroad. He also appreciated the positive developments in the tourism sector and the improved infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir.
During his visit, the Speaker also toured the world-renowned tourist destination of Gulmarg. He played golf at the Gulmarg Club and admired the region’s natural splendor. He stated that Gulmarg’s picturesque valleys, lush greenery and world-class tourism facilities give it a unique identity among India’s premier tourist destinations.
The Speaker observed that the natural wealth, cultural diversity, and warm hospitality of the people of Jammu and Kashmir further strengthen the nation’s spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat”. He urged fellow citizens to visit the tourist destinations ofl Jammu and Kashmir and experience its natural and cultural heritage.
