New Delhi. A major fire broke out at a factory near the Punjab National Bank in Delhi’s Chandan Hola area during the early hours of Sunday, prompting a swift response from the Delhi Fire Service. Multiple fire tenders were rushed to the spot after the department received an emergency call, and firefighting operations continued for several hours to prevent the flames from spreading to nearby buildings.
According to fire officials, the blaze engulfed a significant portion of the factory premises, sending thick plumes of smoke into the sky and causing panic among local residents. Police also reached the site to assist in crowd management and ensure the safety of people living and working in the surrounding area.
No casualties or injuries have been reported so far, and all workers are believed to have been evacuated safely. Authorities are conducting a thorough search of the premises as a precaution.
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined. Officials have launched an investigation, and a detailed assessment of the damage to the factory and surrounding property will be carried out after the fire is completely extinguished.
