konch (GayaJi). A speeding car collided with a motorcyclist near Hichhapur Turn on the Gaya-Goh main road on Saturday morning, leaving the rider critically injured. According to eyewitnesses, the car was moving at such high speed that the impact flung the motorcyclist a considerable distance away. The driver attempted to flee amidst the commotion but lost control of his vehicle, crashing into another car parked by the roadside. Locals immediately rushed the injured youth to the Community Health Centre in Konch. After administering first aid, doctors referred him to Magadh Medical College Hospital, Gaya, for advanced treatment. The injured man’s identity remained unknown at the time of writing this report. Meanwhile, the crowd gathered at the scene apprehended the driver after the second collision and alerted the Konch police. Police arrived at the site, removed the damaged vehicles, and restored traffic flow. The incident caused chaos on the road for about 20 minutes. The Station House Officer (SHO) stated that the matter is under investigation and the car has been seized. Further action will be taken based on the injured person’s statement once he regains consciousness.
