The Speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, Dr. Prem Kumar, attended a felicitation ceremony organized by the ‘Sashakt Bharat Manch’ for the 225 successful candidates of the 70th Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examination. The event was held in the 300-seat auditorium of the Bihar Legislative Assembly’s extended building.
Speaking on the occasion, the Speaker told the selected candidates that the BPSC examination is not merely a competitive test but a gateway to serving society and the state. You have achieved this milestone through hard work, self-confidence, and patience. Your success will serve as an inspiration to the millions of youths who are constantly striving to realize their dreams. You will now serve in positions of great responsibility where the impact of every decision you make will reach even the last person in society. Therefore, your character, integrity, sensitivity, and professional competence will define your true identity.
He urged all the selected candidates to always prioritize constitutional values, the rule of law, and the public interest above all else. Our Constitution shows us the path of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. As a public servant, your primary duty is to translate these constitutional ideals into practice. Administration is not just a means to enforce rules but also a responsibility to strengthen the public’s trust. Strive to bring about positive changes in people’s lives through your work.
Quoting the lines of the national poet Dinkar—”When man applies his full strength, even stone turns into water”—he called upon them to make a significant contribution toward realizing the dream of a ‘Developed India’ and a ‘Developed Bihar’ by the year 2047. Today, our state is making continuous progress in the fields of development, good governance, infrastructure, education, health, agriculture, and digital services. Young officers like you will play a pivotal role in this journey of transformation. Your decisions and work style will further strengthen the common citizen’s faith in the administration.
In his address, Deputy Chairman Shri Ramvachan Rai wished the candidates a bright future and advised them to serve with high moral values. Former Governor Shri Ganga Prasad, in his address, told the selected candidates that the proper discharge of duty is their Dharma (sacred duty.
The Deputy Speaker Shri Narendra Narayan Yadav called upon the selected candidates to perform their duties diligently, regarding work as worship. Sharing his own experiences, he urged them to always maintain the mindset of a public servant and to move forward through honesty and hard work.
