Mumbai. Ajay Devgn’s upcoming film Chauhaan has landed in controversy following the release of its teaser, with objections over its dialogue and portrayal of Rajput history. The teaser features the line, “Pathanon se keh do, Chauhaan aa gaya hai” (“Tell the Pathans, Chauhaan has arrived”), which has triggered mixed reactions on social media and drawn criticism from several groups.
The Kshatriya Parishad has strongly objected to the film, accusing the makers of misusing the Chauhan legacy and “weaponising” Rajput history for contemporary political narratives. The organisation has urged the filmmakers not to associate Rajput identity with communal or ideological messaging.
While many viewers praised the teaser’s scale and action, others questioned its depiction of Kashmir and historical references, keeping the film at the centre of a growing public debate ahead of its release. The makers have not yet issued an official response to the controversy.
