Patna.The prolonged suspension of admissions and training activities at nearly 1,800 Kushal Yuva Program (KYP) centres across Bihar has placed the future of lakhs of young people in serious jeopardy. According to KYP centre operators, the halt in admissions has not only disrupted skill development training but has also adversely affected the employment prospects of aspiring youth across the state.
The operators stated that the matter has been repeatedly brought to the notice of the Youth Employment and Skill Development Department, the concerned Minister, the Department’s Secretary, the Chief Minister of Bihar and other relevant authorities through written representations and communications. However, no concrete action has been taken so far.
They alleged that admissions at KYP centres have been kept suspended without any official announcement, severely affecting the state’s skill development ecosystem. As a result, lakhs of young people who depend on the program to acquire employable skills and improve their career opportunities are being deprived of quality training.
The centre operators have urged the Government of Bihar to immediately resume the admission process at all KYP centres, restore regular training activities and take prompt administrative measures to safeguard the future of the state’s youth. They warned that any further delay could have serious social and economic consequences for Bihar’s young population.
