Aurangabad. The Home Department organized a review meeting via video conferencing with the District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police of Naxal-affected districts. Officials from Aurangabad district, including District Magistrate Smt. Abhilasha Sharma and Superintendent of Police Shri Upendranath Verma, attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the current status of development schemes in Naxal-affected areas was reviewed in detail. The Home Department directed that all such Naxal-affected areas—where development work has not yet reached the desired level or where there is a lack of basic amenities—be identified.
Instructions were issued to conduct a survey of areas deprived of facilities such as education, tourism, roads, infrastructure, drinking water, health, communication and other essential public amenities and to prepare detailed proposals for development works tailored to their specific needs.
The Home Department directed all District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police to ensure that such proposals are prepared promptly on a priority basis and submitted to the Home Department, so that development schemes for these areas can be approved and effectively implemented.
It was also stated during the meeting that the holistic and balanced development of Naxal-affected areas is a priority for the government. The expansion of education, road connectivity, tourism, infrastructure and other developmental schemes will improve the standard of living of local residents and further strengthen peace, security and inclusive development in the region.
In compliance with the Home Department’s directives, the Aurangabad district administration will initiate the process of promptly preparing proposals for the development of the identified areas and submitting them to the Home Department within the stipulated timeframe.
