Konch(Gayaji). A press vehicle belonging to Navbihar Times was struck by a truck near Manjathi Turn on the Gaya-Goh main road during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday (at 1:00 AM). Two people, including the driver, were injured in the accident and the press vehicle was severely damaged. The truck driver fled the scene. The injured have been identified as Rahul Kumar (30), son of Awadhesh Sharma from Sohalpura village in Aurangabad district and Mritraj Kumar (16), son of Sanoj Ram from Kavai village. With the help of locals, both injured individuals were taken to the Goh Community Health Center by ambulance, where Dr. Abhinav Chandra administered first aid. Rahul Kumar sustained a serious injury to his hand, while Mritraj Kumar suffered a severe head injury. According to the doctors, both are currently out of danger. The injured driver, Rahul Kumar, stated that he was transporting Navbihar Times newspapers from Aurangabad to Patna via Daudnagar, Goh and Konch when the accident occurred near Manjathi Turn. The collision was so severe that the truck dragged the press vehicle for about 100 meters. Upon receiving news of the incident and acting on the instructions of Navbihar Times Editor Dr. Kamal Kishore, Konch correspondent D.K. Yadav and Rafiganj correspondent Sandeep Kumar arrived at Goh Hospital in their personal vehicle to check on the injured. Subsequently, they visited the accident site and had the damaged press vehicle moved to the roadside to ensure the smooth flow of traffic. The Konch police have been informed of the incident and have initiated an investigation.
