Aurangabad. A tribute meeting was organized at the office of Aurangabad MLA Trivikram Narayan Singh to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee—the founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, a staunch nationalist thinker and a great educationist. The event commenced with the offering of floral tributes at Dr. Mookerjee’s portrait and the collective singing of Vande Mataram.
Addressing the gathering, Aurangabad MLA Trivikram Narayan Singh stated that Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee’s life stands as an unparalleled example of education, courage, patriotism and public service. He remarked that Dr. Mookerjee dedicated his entire being to India’s unity, honor, and progress. He was an outstanding educationist, a visionary thinker and a leader devoted to the nation.The MLA added that the central government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is continuously engaged in the task of nation-building through public welfare schemes while embracing Dr. Mookerjee’s ideas and ideals.
Former District President Purushottam Kumar Singh noted that as India’s first Minister of Industry, Dr. Mookerjee laid a strong foundation for industrial self-reliance. He undertook significant work to promote traditional industries and employment opportunities. His humanitarian efforts during the Bengal Famine provided relief to millions of victims. He stated that Dr. Mookerjee’s unwavering loyalty to the nation and his struggle for India’s integrity would continue to inspire future generations.
