Biharsharif. Shravan Kumar, the Minister for Rural Development and Information & Public Relations, formally inaugurated the Saraswati Vidya Niketan Model School (Adarsh Vidyalaya) in Gurusharanpur village, located in the Ben block of Nalanda district. A large number of local public representatives, educationists, parents, school staff and villagers attended the inauguration ceremony. The event commenced with the lighting of a ceremonial lamp and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar stated that education forms the strongest foundation for the development of any society. The establishment of this model school will provide students in the region with access to modern resources, a superior academic environment, and quality education. He noted that the state government aims to provide children in rural areas with excellent educational facilities comparable to those in cities, ensuring that talent is not left behind due to a lack of resources.
The Minister highlighted that the Bihar government is continuously working to improve the quality of education in government schools. Several ambitious schemes are being effectively implemented to develop school infrastructure, introduce smart classrooms and digital learning, ensure the availability of trained teachers and promote modern teaching methodologies.
He urged students to study diligently, maintain discipline and make positive use of modern technology. He also appealed to parents to remain attentive to their children’s education and ensure they attend school regularly. Great enthusiasm was observed among the students following the inauguration of the model school; the children expressed their happiness regarding the modern facilities, improved classrooms and the academic atmosphere.
Parents also appreciated the initiative, noting that children in the area would no longer need to travel to distant cities to access quality education.
